Selection of heat transfer oil for the refrigeration and heating system of the reactor
In the chemical industry, the reactor is a commonly used container, and temperature control is the main quantity to be controlled. The heating and refrigeration cycle equipment of the reactor is an important factor to ensure product quality. The reactor heating and refrigeration cycle equipment uses the heat transfer medium to pass through the jacket of the reactor to increase the temperature of the materials in the reactor, and the mixing of the mixer makes the materials uniform, increases the heat transfer speed, and makes the temperature uniform. The choice of heat transfer medium is determined according to the process temperature requirements of the products of each factory. Common heat transfer media include water and heat transfer oil.
The heat transfer medium of the heat transfer medium of the temperature control system of the reactor is mainly affected by the heat transfer oil itself, the operating temperature of the heat transfer oil, the temperature control system equipment of the reactor, cleaning and heat transfer oil repair and life increase.
The heat-conducting oil for the temperature control system of the reactor should be of the brand or manufacturer’s matching model. The quality of the heat transfer oil itself is the key to the life of the heat transfer oil. It is difficult to guarantee the long life of the heat-conducting oil with congenital insufficient heat-conducting oil.
Generally, the physical and chemical indicators of heat transfer oil are regarded as its quality indicators. The heat transfer oil has acid value, residual carbon, viscosity, flash point, moisture, density, distillation range, freezing point, oxidation resistance, corrosion, specific heat capacity, thermal conductivity, and thermal conductivity. More than a dozen indicators such as stability, and the value of each indicator will affect the service life of the heat transfer oil.
Choose the right type of heat transfer oil. The operating temperature of the heat transfer oil is correspondingly increased, and the service life of the heat transfer oil is correspondingly shortened. Therefore, when selecting the heat transfer oil for the temperature control system of the chemical reactor, it must be selected according to the operating temperature. New equipment generally adds 30-50℃ to the process temperature. When the heat-conducting oil equipment is worn out, the operating temperature of the heat-conducting oil needs to be added 50-100℃ to the process temperature.
Regularly clean carbon deposits. Experience tells us that carbon deposits are prone to occur during long-term use of heat transfer oil and need to be cleaned up in time. In addition, when the temperature control system of the chemical reactor is shut down, the temperature should be reduced to below 70 ℃ and shut down. On the one hand, it protects the pump and motor, on the other hand, it can also reduce the generation of carbon deposits and prolong the life of the heat transfer oil.
