Principle of o Pharmaceutical temperature control Unit

  • The method of changing the control set value can respond to the system lag in the process as quickly as possible and obtain a smaller system overshoot. The control consists of two sets of PID control loops, which are called: main loop and slave loop. The control output of the main loop is used as the set value of the slave loop. By controlling the temperature change gradient in this way, the temperature control accuracy of the system is guaranteed.
  • The specially designed hysteresis predictor generates a dynamic signal yc(t) instead of the process variable y(t) as a feedback signal. Generate an e(t) signal for the controller, so that the controller predicts that the control action has no large lag.

1.Direct TCU
Direct heating/cooling: the medium flows directly through the reaction vessel without secondary heat exchange.
Simple structure: fewer system components, relatively easy installation and maintenance.
Fast response speed: quickly adjust the temperature, suitable for processes that require rapid temperature changes.
2.Secondary heat exchanger type TCU
Indirect heating/cooling: the temperature of the reaction vessel is indirectly controlled by a heat exchanger, and the medium does not directly contact the reactants.
Complex structure: The system includes additional heat exchangers, making installation and maintenance more complicated.
Precise temperature control: Suitable for processes with extremely high requirements for temperature control.

If rapid temperature changes and medium compatibility are required, a direct type should be chosen.

If high temperature control accuracy or medium incompatibility is needed, choose a secondary heat exchange type.

  • Medium Compatibility:

When the medium is compatible, the direct type is more convenient.

When the medium is incompatible, the secondary heat exchange type is safer.

  • Temperature Range:

For medium to low temperature or medium to high temperature processes, the direct type is suitable.

For extreme temperature processes, the secondary heat exchange type is more appropriate.

  • Cleanliness Requirements:

For processes with high cleanliness requirements, the secondary heat exchange type is more suitable.

  • Space and Maintenance:

If space is limited or maintenance simplicity is preferred, the direct type is a better option.

If complex installation and maintenance are acceptable, the secondary heat exchange type can be chosen.
